Job description

Role overview

Scottish Rugby is looking for a physiotherapist to support the Glasgow Warriors Academy based at Scotstoun Stadium. In this role, you will help keep academy players physically prepared through high-quality clinical care, structured injury prevention work, and effective rehabilitation. You will also assist with medical cover for the Scotland U20 national age-grade programme across the season.

Key duties

  • Maintain a high standard of clinical care within the Glasgow Warriors Pro Academy medical set-up.
  • Take ownership of injury prevention, assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation for academy athletes.
  • Support player development in the professional rugby pathway by delivering physiotherapy of an elite standard.
  • Provide medical support to the Scotland U20 programme throughout the season.

Required qualifications and experience

  • You must hold HCPC registration, CSP membership, and a BSc in Physiotherapy.
  • A current Level 3 trauma qualification is required.
  • At least 3 years of experience in sports physiotherapy is needed, with preference for candidates who have worked in high-performance or elite sport environments.
  • Additional desirable experience includes ACPSEM membership, a relevant postgraduate qualification or active progress toward one, and direct experience in an elite professional rugby setting.
