The role aims to drive steady revenue growth and increase market share, while maintaining rigorous budgetary control and spearheading talent acquisition efforts. This position serves as the pivotal link between the regional corporate MENA commercial strategy and the on-ground market execution, ensuring compliance with pharmaceutical industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute tailored commercial strategies that reflect regulatory and market conditions in each Gulf nation.
  • Ensure full implementation of corporate brand plans aligned with portfolio coverage targets across various medical specialties within set timelines.
  • Regularly analyze market scenarios to track competitors, pricing adjustments, and regulatory updates, adapting sales tactics as necessary.
  • Track daily and monthly sales performance to maintain alignment with goals.
  • Manage CRM metrics for field teams, ensuring supervisors and representatives meet coverage objectives.
  • Coordinate with supply chain teams to maintain stock availability and prevent product shortages year-round.
  • Design and propose the annual market budget, incorporating sales forecasts and cost planning.
  • Oversee and optimize regional expenses, keeping within corporate budget limits.
  • Identify staffing needs and conduct final interviews to recruit sales, marketing, and supervisory personnel.
  • Conduct performance reviews, manage employee administrative matters, and coordinate training with HR.
  • Collaborate with Marketing to deliver technical product training and conduct joint coaching visits with field teams.
  • Lead engagements with Key Opinion Leaders and institutional clients to enhance partnerships and brand influence.
  • Supervise distributor relationships to improve supply chain efficiency and payment collections across the Gulf region.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A bachelor's degree in pharmacy is mandatory.
  • An MBA or professional certification in Commercial/Marketing is highly preferred.
  • At least 10 years of experience in pharmaceutical or manufacturing commercial roles.
  • A minimum of 3 to 5 years in a similar regional sales or country management role covering Gulf countries (except Saudi Arabia), with demonstrated success in achieving sales targets.
