Job description
Role overview
This opportunity sits within a modern consulting business focused on data, AI, cloud, and software solutions for mid-market and enterprise clients. The organisation partners with leading technology vendors and operates across Australia, the UK, and the USA, with a strong commitment to staff development.
The role is for a growth-oriented Account Manager who will work in a consultative capacity between clients and vendor partners. The objective is to nurture and grow high-value accounts while also creating new opportunities through events, co-selling activity, and inbound interest generated by vendor relationships.
You will be supported by business development partners and work closely with delivery leads, marketing, and technical stakeholders to shape, present, and win meaningful growth-focused projects.
This is a non-billable position, so it does not carry the usual pressure associated with cold calling or rigid KPI-driven sales targets. The emphasis is on trust-building, problem-solving, and acting as a commercial link within a high-performing consulting environment.
What this role involves
- Building and expanding relationships with strategic customers and vendor partners.
- Identifying and developing growth opportunities through events, co-selling, and partner-led inbound leads.
- Working with internal teams to define scope, prepare pitches, and close project opportunities.
- Supporting revenue growth without relying on traditional cold outreach or quota-heavy selling.
- Acting as a trusted commercial partner who helps clients achieve strong outcomes.
Candidate profile
The ideal applicant brings a few years of experience in sales or sales development, with a background in account growth or partnerships preferred. A collaborative style, low-ego mindset, and focus on client success are important. You should be motivated by long-term relationships rather than short-term wins, and feel comfortable discussing technology platforms or services. Experience or interest in consulting, technology services, data, AI, or related fields would be highly relevant.
Compensation and growth
The package includes a salary of $100,000 plus 12% superannuation and a $20,000 commission/bonus component. The role also offers the chance to move into broader sales responsibilities, along with access to certifications, training, and career development opportunities. You will be joining a growing team with a strong culture in a scaling startup environment.
Application note
Interested candidates should submit a CV promptly for consideration.
