Role overview
The Group Vice President, Field Sales is a senior second-line leadership position responsible for leading sales strategy, execution, and overall performance across the Americas. Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Sales, this leader manages regional sales executives and is responsible for delivering aggressive growth results, creating scalable go-to-market plans, and developing strong teams. The role also contributes to regional direction, operational discipline, and alignment with broader global sales priorities.
What you will do
- Create and implement regional sales plans that achieve revenue and market expansion targets.
- Guide, develop, and motivate Regional Vice Presidents as well as Strategic and Enterprise Account Executives to maintain high standards of performance and accountability.
- Work directly with strategic clients and senior decision-makers to close significant deals and build enduring partnerships.
- Partner with Marketing, Product, Partners, Customer Success, RevOps, and Finance to keep strategies aligned and enhance the customer journey.
- Use data, forecasts, and market insight to monitor performance and refine approach as conditions change.
- Improve pipeline discipline, resource allocation, and territory planning to support operating effectiveness.
- Represent the company at industry events, executive gatherings, and partner meetings to strengthen visibility and influence.
- Mentor emerging leaders and support succession planning to build the next generation of leadership talent.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree is required; an MBA or another advanced degree is preferred.
- At least 10 years of progressive leadership experience in enterprise software sales, including recent responsibility for large, multi-region teams.
- Demonstrated ability to build and lead teams that consistently outperform revenue targets in fast-growing SaaS environments.
- Must be based in California, Arizona, or Washington.
Additional requirements and policies
- If this role requires it, onboarding will include security and privacy literacy training, followed by annual refresher training.
- Where applicable, you must review and follow information security and privacy policies and procedures on an initial and ongoing annual basis.
- These policies may include Data Classification, Retention & Handling; Incident Response; Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery; Mobile Device; Account Management; Access Control; Personnel Security; and Privacy policies.
Compensation and benefits
The role offers a competitive total rewards package along with strong learning and career growth opportunities. Final compensation depends on several factors, including location, skills, experience, training, certifications, licensure, and business needs. The estimated annual pay range is $250,000 to $260,000. You may also qualify for a discretionary bonus, subject to the terms of the program and performance outcomes.
