Role overview
A major multinational business in County Louth is looking for a recently qualified Group Financial Accountant to strengthen its finance team. This is a strong opportunity for an accountant trained in a Big 4 or Top 10 firm, with 0–2 years of post-qualification experience, who wants to take their first step into industry. The role sits in a fast-moving, growth-oriented environment and provides wide exposure to financial reporting, management reporting, commercial analysis, and strategic work.
You will join a high-performing finance department and work closely with senior leaders, gaining broad involvement in reporting, planning, and corporate transactions as the business continues to expand in Ireland and overseas. The position will suit someone driven, flexible, and ready to take responsibility in a changing setting.
Key responsibilities
- Compile monthly reporting packs for the group finance function.
- Produce management accounts together with performance analysis.
- Prepare financial statements for subsidiaries and statutory reporting purposes.
- Ensure management reports are delivered accurately and on schedule.
- Assist with annual budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Carry out in-depth variance analysis and provide clear commentary.
- Support accounting work related to acquisitions and disposals.
- Help improve reporting workflows, controls, and overall finance processes.
About you
- You are a recently qualified ACA or ACCA accountant with 0–2 years of post-qualification experience.
- Experience in a Big 4 or Top 10 practice is preferred.
- You bring strong technical accounting capability.
- You are highly proficient in Excel and comfortable using finance systems.
- You are organised and able to handle several deadlines at once.
- You communicate well and work effectively with different stakeholders.
- You are comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving business environment.
