Job description
Role Overview
The organisation is looking for a highly entrepreneurial and commercially focused Group Chief Executive Officer to steer and expand a diversified set of consumer businesses spanning skincare, beauty, retail, food and beverage, and nutraceuticals.
This position carries responsibility for setting the group’s strategic direction, accelerating profitable growth, developing strong leadership teams, and maintaining high operational standards across multiple business lines. It is a hands-on leadership role that calls for strategic vision, disciplined execution, brand-building capability, and solid financial understanding.
The preferred candidate should have a demonstrated history of managing multi-business consumer portfolios and scaling brands successfully through both offline and digital channels.
Key Responsibilities
Group strategy and business leadership
- Create and implement the long-range vision, growth agenda, and operating plans for the group.
- Support consistent gains in revenue, profitability, and market reach across all business verticals.
- Assess new ventures, acquisition opportunities, partnerships, and entry plans for new markets.
- Develop scalable operating models and growth plans for each company in the portfolio.
P&L ownership
- Take full ownership of the consolidated profit and loss statement and the group’s financial outcomes.
- Improve revenue, EBITDA, working capital efficiency, and cash-flow discipline.
- Set measurable performance indicators and review systems across the businesses.
- Ensure capital is deployed effectively toward the most promising growth initiatives.
Consumer brands and growth
- Guide brand-building efforts across skincare, nutraceutical, food, and retail businesses.
- Drive product innovation, new launches, and expansion into additional categories.
- Oversee growth across D2C, e-commerce, modern trade, general trade, and retail channels.
- Track emerging consumer shifts and convert them into business opportunities.
Leadership and organisation building
- Recruit, coach, and develop a strong leadership bench across functions and business units.
- Create a culture of accountability, ownership, and strong execution.
- Support succession planning and leadership development across the organisation.
- Serve as the main connection point between promoters, business leaders, and key stakeholders.
Operations and execution
- Ensure operational strength across manufacturing, sourcing, supply chain, retail operations, and customer experience.
- Improve efficiency, productivity, and scalability across the group’s businesses.
- Put in place effective systems, governance practices, and business processes.
Governance and stakeholder management
- Partner with the Board and promoters on strategic choices and business performance.
- Handle relationships with investors, banks, and strategic partners wherever relevant.
- Maintain compliance, risk controls, and corporate governance across the group.
Experience Profile
The role calls for 18–25+ years of leadership experience in consumer, FMCG, beauty, personal care, retail, food and beverage, wellness, nutraceuticals, or D2C businesses. The ideal background includes leading multiple business units, brands, or a diversified portfolio, along with a strong history of growing consumer brands profitably. Experience managing large P&Ls and senior leadership teams is important. Prior experience as a CEO, Business Head, Managing Director, COO, Group Business Head, or in category leadership is preferred.
