Overview
Levande is seeking a hands-on Grounds & Maintenance Officer for Hillsview Village in Happy Valley, South Australia. This full-time, permanent role is focused on keeping village buildings, shared facilities and outdoor areas in excellent condition so residents enjoy a safe, attractive and well-run community.

What you'll do
The position combines maintenance responsibilities with light grounds care. It suits someone who enjoys fixing things, keeping spaces tidy, and supporting a welcoming residential environment.
- Carry out routine maintenance and small repairs across village buildings and shared amenities
- Act quickly on maintenance requests to help maintain resident safety
- Keep outdoor areas, walkways and communal spaces presentable
- Do light gardening work such as pruning, planting, mulching and general garden care
- Use and look after tools and equipment safely and effectively
- Develop positive working relationships with residents, contractors and the village team
What we're looking for
We're looking for someone who is practical, dependable and enjoys solving problems. You should take pride in the small details, work well on your own, and understand how important a well-maintained environment is to residents.
- Background in maintenance, handyman, facilities or property maintenance work
- Hands-on ability in general repairs and preventative upkeep
- Self-directed approach with strong time management skills
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Ability to prioritise tasks and work independently
- Basic computer skills
Preferred experience
Experience in retirement living, schools, local councils or other large community settings will be viewed positively. A trade qualification, gardening qualification, or experience driving a 12-seater bus would also be an advantage.
