Job description
Role Overview
Standard Calibrations, Inc. is a 135-employee organization that does highly technical work. The marketing function is lean, consisting of a Marketing Manager who will be your day-to-day partner and a Marketing & Innovation Specialist who focuses on digital advertising. Because campaigns, events, and promotional needs move quickly, the team needs a designer who can bring consistency and structure to all of the visual output.
This position is focused on creating the visual foundation across web, print, advertising, and events. You may be shaping a landing page that supports conversions, laying out a polished sales sheet for client meetings, or planning how trade show materials should look and feel at the point of interaction. The goal is not only to make materials attractive, but to make them clear, connected, and effective.
The schedule begins at around 20 hours per week, with the possibility of expanding if the fit works well for both sides.
What You Will Do
- Develop landing page designs and, where possible, help implement them rather than only passing off the files.
- Create print collateral that the sales team can confidently use in the field.
- Produce digital advertising creative and social media graphics that feel intentional and on-brand.
- Shape the visual presentation of event assets, including booth graphics, signage, and the broader attendee experience.
What This Role Calls For
- At least 2 years of hands-on professional experience in graphic design.
- Advanced skills with Adobe Creative Suite, especially Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign; motion tools such as After Effects or Premiere are an advantage.
- Background in producing event booth graphics and other large-format printed materials.
- Experience with landing page design and development, along with an understanding of UX and UI principles.
- Exposure to Shopify Plus is preferred.
- Solid knowledge of digital marketing design standards and current best practices.
- Ability to juggle several projects at once while working within a part-time schedule and meeting deadlines.
- Strong eye for detail and well-developed organizational habits.
- A portfolio is required so the team can understand your process and thinking style, not just your finished work.
Physical Requirements
The role includes some physical expectations that must be met to perform the job successfully.
- Ability to lift items or equipment weighing up to 25 pounds.
- Capacity to sit for extended periods or attend meetings in different locations within the building.
- Regular need to speak and listen effectively with others.
Equal Employment Opportunity
Standard Calibrations, Inc. follows equal employment opportunity practices and does not discriminate in recruitment, hiring, training, compensation, or promotion on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, age, sex, disability, protected veteran status, or any other protected characteristic under federal, state, or local law.
