Broadway Across America (BAA) is the dominant force in live touring theatre across 47 regional markets in North America, managing local marketing rights, venues, event production, and ticketing efforts through multiple sale modes. Additionally, BAA owns or operates five historic theaters located in Baltimore, Boston, and Minneapolis.

Position Overview

Broadway Across America’s Marketing division is looking for an imaginative and collaborative part-time Graphic Designer to join their in-house creative team. The role centers on designing marketing materials tailored for multiple touring Broadway productions in over 25 cities, ensuring a compelling visual appeal while keeping functionality at the forefront. The designer will produce collateral across a spectrum of formats including emails, digital displays, print, social media graphics, video content, and outdoor advertisements.

Key Duties

  • Participate in conceptualizing, designing, and coding marketing materials spanning multiple formats such as email newsletters, digital ads, print pieces, outdoor signage, videos, and social media content balancing show artwork with local branding identities.
  • Incorporate feedback from senior creative personnel and regional marketing teams, refining designs accordingly.
  • Manage multiple projects independently from initial concept through to final delivery, meeting deadlines.
  • Collaborate closely with regional marketing groups to deliver supportive creative assets for local campaigns.

  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with keen attention to accuracy.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in HTML coding with demonstrated experience building emails and websites.
  • Strong skills in Adobe Creative Suite, especially InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
  • Additional knowledge of HTML5, JavaScript, WordPress, and CSS is a plus.
  • Motion graphics and video editing experience using After Effects and Premiere Pro is advantageous.
  • Previous graphic design work experience—whether freelance, part-time, full-time or internship—is required.
  • An undergraduate or associate degree in graphic design is preferred.

Communication & Critical Thinking

  • Ability to interpret creative briefs and HTML/CSS code efficiently.
  • Skillful in presenting information to diverse marketing teams.
  • Capable of balancing competing priorities to maintain brand consistency and production requirements.
  • Design with accessibility considerations for audiences with varied physical and cognitive abilities.

Physical Requirements & Work Conditions

Compensation & Employment Type
