Overview
Printemps New York offers a six-month unpaid internship for a Graphic Design Intern set to begin in the fall semester. This role focuses primarily on education and training in partnership with the intern's academic program. The position is fully on-site at the One Wall Street corporate office in New York City.
Primary Duties
The intern will contribute across marketing and in-store collateral, CRM and digital asset design, cross-team collaboration, and production oversight. Responsibilities include designing diverse marketing materials such as flyers, brochures, invitations, e-invitations, in-store signage, product labels, retail supports, restaurant menus, and food & beverage materials. All designs must align with Printemps’ visual identity and brand standards. Additionally, the intern should adapt and refine brand guidelines and adapt designs across formats with attention to detail.
Regarding CRM and digital assets, the intern will develop and maintain newsletter templates and CRM visuals, occasionally crafting social media templates and campaign assets for special initiatives.
The role involves working closely with multiple departments including Visual Merchandising, F&B, Social Media, CRM, Events, and Marketing to translate business needs into polished, brand-consistent creative output.
In terms of production, the intern will prepare print-ready files with precision, coordinate with external vendors and printers, manage production schedules, and ensure quality control and consistency from concept to final product.
Required Skills and Knowledge
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) and Canva for flexible content creation
- Strong expertise in print design and production including bleeds, trims, and color profiles such as CMYK and Pantone
- Experience with layout and editorial design for multi-page documents, menus, and brochures
- Advanced understanding of typography and visual hierarchy with meticulous attention to detail
- Knowledge of preparing print-ready files and export formats
- Familiarity with end-to-end production workflows
