Job Overview

The Graphic Artist role at Erie 1 BOCES, based at the E1B Education Campus in West Seneca, NY, features a flexible 19-hour workweek from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, Monday through Friday. After six months of successful employment, there is an opportunity for hybrid remote work. Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and procure visual content for print and digital channels such as newsletters, calendars, photography, and video.
  • Distribute materials online and coordinate print production.
  • Travel may be required to schools across Western New York.
  • Consult with clients on design techniques, service options, and materials.
  • Create, update, and produce both print and electronic publications, including prepress and finishing tasks.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office products.
  • Publish images and text on websites and manage online content postings.
  • Assist with photography, video projects, poster enlarging, and laminating.
  • Perform clerical tasks related to project records, order processing, and client communications.
  • Additional duties aligned with the civil service Graphic Artist job description may be assigned.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Completion of a recognized two-year commercial art program plus one year of full-time commercial art experience, or
  • High school diploma or equivalent with three years of full-time commercial art experience, or
  • An equivalent combination of training and experience as referenced above.
  • Minimum of two years of full-time commercial art or professional multimedia experience.
  • Extensive expertise with Adobe Creative Suite is essential.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Hourly wage: $22.88.
  • Annual education stipend: $500 for Associates degree or accredited training certification; $1,000 for Bachelor’s degree; $1,500 for Master’s degree.
