About the Programme

Join PwC New Zealand's Graduate Programme in Deals Strategy, designed for ambitious graduates eager to develop their consulting and analytical skills. Role Overview

As a Graduate in our Deals Strategy team based in Auckland (Tāmaki Makaurau), starting in February 2027, you will engage in strategic advisory services that assist clients with critical investment and business decisions. You will collaborate with corporates, government bodies, investors, and private businesses on projects including commercial due diligence, growth strategies, market research, and value creation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze industry sectors and competitors to derive actionable insights.
  • Evaluate growth opportunities for clients to support strategic decision-making.
  • Conduct thorough commercial due diligence evaluations.
  • Assist clients in identifying paths to enhance business value.
  • Work alongside senior consultants on live projects to build practical experience.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing or completed a Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Finance, Economics, Accounting, Engineering, Business, Data Analytics, Mathematics, or related fields.
  • Strong analytical capabilities with skill in drawing meaningful conclusions from complex data.
  • Interest-driven mindset focused on business strategy, transactions, mergers and acquisitions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • A collaborative approach with strong interpersonal relationship-building abilities.
  • Effective organizational skills and attention to detail in handling multiple priorities.
  • Demonstrated intellectual curiosity, proactivity, and eagerness to learn.
  • Genuine passion for understanding business operations, growth, and value creation.
  • Preferred experience or involvement in extracurriculars such as leadership roles, case competitions, internships, or student organizations which enhance commercial awareness and teamwork.
