Role overview
An award-winning systematic hedge fund is seeking a recent graduate to join its Middle Office team. Because the firm develops its trading and operational platforms internally, this role extends well beyond a standard middle office position and includes meaningful work on proprietary system improvement.
What the role involves
You will contribute to the enhancement of in-house systems while also handling core middle office duties. The environment is technical, with the team routinely working in Python and SQL. In addition to project work, you will partner closely with Portfolio Managers and support trade and operational workflows.
Core duties
Responsibilities include matching trades with prime brokers and execution brokers, monitoring daily profit and loss, managing cash, and carrying out margin reconciliations.
Candidate profile
The business is looking for a strong academic 2025 or 2026 graduate with good Python experience developed during university. A finance-related internship or placement is welcome, though it is not a mandatory requirement.
Compensation and benefits
The role offers a base salary of up to £50,000 together with a strong discretionary bonus. The firm is known for regular annual pay rises, and the package includes one work-from-home day each week.
