Graduate Engineer - Overhead Transmission Line Projects (132kV / 380kV)

About the Role

Algihaz Power Business Unit invites energetic Saudi fresh graduates in Electrical or Civil Engineering to join our Overhead Transmission Line (OHTL) Projects team. This role offers a comprehensive on-the-job training program involving practical engagement with construction, installation, testing, commissioning, and project management of high-voltage transmission lines at 132kV and 380kV levels. The position requires collaboration with senior engineers, project managers, and field teams across multiple locations including Bishah, Hail, Jizan, Tabarjal, and Al-Khushaybi.

Key Responsibilities

• Support planning, execution, and monitoring of overhead transmission line projects.
• Assist site engineers with tower foundations, erection, conductor stringing, and related civil tasks.
• Review engineering drawings, material specs, and project files.
• Perform site inspections and contribute to quality assurance activities to meet project standards.
• Prepare technical and daily progress reports, plus engineering documentation.
• Participate in testing and commissioning of transmission line installations.
• Coordinate with project teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure efficient project flow.
• Track project timelines and material/equipment usage, reporting any deviations.
• Take part in project meetings to address challenges and find solutions.
• Comply strictly with company and project health, safety, and environmental policies.
• Join safety inspections, toolbox talks, and risk assessments to promote a safe work environment.
• Engage actively in structured graduate training programs and technical workshops.
• Learn about standards such as SEC, National Grid, IEC relevant to transmission lines.
• Gain experience in various stages from design through commissioning to project management.

Candidate Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Civil Engineering.
• Fresh graduates or candidates with up to one year of relevant experience.
• Internship experience linked to power, construction, infrastructure, or utilities preferred.

Skills and Competencies

• Basic knowledge of power transmission systems and engineering principles in electrical or civil engineering.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office is an advantage.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and documents effectively.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate within teams.
• Willingness to work at various project sites throughout Saudi Arabia.
• A motivated learner committed to ongoing professional development.
