Graduate Consultant - Fire and Life Safety

Overview

WSP in the Middle East is looking for a motivated Graduate Consultant in Fire and Life Safety to join its Riyadh office. This opportunity is aimed at recent graduates who want to start a career in fire engineering and life safety consultancy. You will work with a cooperative team on major projects, helping deliver designs that meet international requirements and improve building safety.

Responsibilities

• Help shape fire and life safety approaches for complex buildings and infrastructure work.
• Assist senior consultants by preparing technical reports, reviewing designs, and organizing compliance records.
• Evaluate projects against fire safety codes and standards such as NFPA, IBC, SBC, and related regulations.
• Take part in evacuation studies, risk evaluations, and fire safety inspections.
• Work closely with teams from different disciplines to embed fire protection measures into project designs.
• Explore new fire safety tools, technologies, and industry practices, and apply them where appropriate.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a similar field.
• Working knowledge of fire safety codes and standards, including NFPA, IBC, and SBC.
• Good analytical ability, problem-solving skills, and clear communication.
• Comfort working in a collaborative team-based environment.
• Ability to use engineering software such as AutoCAD and Revit; experience with fire modeling tools is an advantage.
• Suitable for a fresh graduate or someone with up to 1 year of relevant experience.

This is a full-time onsite role based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The position is intended for ambitious graduates beginning their careers in fire engineering and life safety consultancy.
