Job description

Role overview

A major global organisation is hiring a graduate-level Business Modelling Analyst to join a technical, model-building team in London. The role suits a STEM graduate with strong quantitative ability who wants to apply analytical thinking in a commercial setting.

This opportunity is aimed at candidates from disciplines such as Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, Computer Science, or Economics with Econometrics. Direct experience in business or financial modelling is not essential, as the employer is prioritising sharp numerical reasoning, strong learning ability, and an interest in building models from the ground up.

Key requirements

  • A degree from a highly regarded global university in a quantitative or STEM subject, such as a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD.
  • Strong capability in mathematics and analysis.
  • Some exposure to data analysis, statistical techniques, or modelling methods.
  • Comfort working with both structured and unstructured datasets.

What the role involves

  • Creating and developing analytical models starting from first principles.
  • Working with data to identify patterns, generate insights, and inform decisions.
  • Partnering with stakeholders to turn technical findings into straightforward business conclusions.
  • Refining and improving modelling methods on an ongoing basis.

Preferred experience

  • Hands-on use of Excel or other modelling software is beneficial, though not mandatory.
  • Any exposure to programming languages or tools such as Python, MATLAB, or R would be an advantage.
