About CBRE Consulting & Valuation
CBRE’s Consulting & Valuation team delivers specialist advisory services across a broad set of real estate and public-sector assignments. The practice works with both private and government clients and supports projects spanning business planning, financial feasibility, market studies, techno-economic viability, due diligence, entry strategy, tenancy mapping, workplace and marketing strategy, healthcare advisory, operational improvement, financial structuring, privatization, public-private partnerships, valuation, transaction advisory, economic master planning, tourism advisory, and urban development.
These services are applied across office spaces, retail malls, hotels and resorts, urban infrastructure, townships, airport- and MRT-linked real estate, industrial parks, SEZs, hospitals, and residential and commercial developments.
Role Overview
This Mumbai-based Government Advisory role sits within CBRE’s Consulting group in India. The primary focus is to expand the government advisory practice through business development and to manage ongoing operations for government-related advisory assignments. The role combines client engagement, project delivery, stakeholder coordination, and practice growth.
Key Responsibilities
The selected professional will oversee the execution of real estate advisory assignments in the government advisory domain, maintain relationships with existing clients, and supervise on-ground project implementation. In parallel, the role requires consistent business development efforts, including meetings with stakeholders, building long-term relationships, producing white papers and research reports, and representing the practice at conferences and events.
Essential Duties
- Draft bid documentation for PPP-based service delivery contracts with support from subject matter experts.
- Assist in the selection of concessionaires in line with PPP bid requirements.
- Manage contracts for performance-linked urban service delivery and PPP-based engagements.
- Offer specialist guidance on PPP structures and related advisory matters.
- Support the sourcing, development, due diligence, approval, and execution of private-sector infrastructure financing projects.
- Engage financiers and other stakeholders across the project lifecycle to improve project visibility and attractiveness.
- Bring demonstrated experience in preparing, evaluating, and securing approvals for PPP projects.
- Show strong familiarity with contractual frameworks, risk allocation, contingent liability issues, and advanced financial analysis and modelling for PPP assignments.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of professional experience in consulting or advisory services.
- Prior exposure to government clients is required.
- Real estate sector experience is preferred but not mandatory.
- Academic background in MBA, Planning, Architecture, Economics, CA, CFA, or Engineering.
- Strong communication and analytical abilities, with solid financial modelling knowledge.
- Proven ability to develop new business and manage existing client relationships.
