Fire and Safety Officer

About the Role

CBRE is hiring a Fire and Safety Officer for its Gurugram, Haryana location. The position calls for a professional with at least 3 years of relevant experience and an NFSC (National Fire Service College) certification, which is mandatory.

Key Responsibilities

• Keep fire safety practices aligned with local regulations, the National Building Code, and all statutory fire compliance requirements, while also handling renewals for licences, NOCs, and related certifications and coordinating inspections with fire authorities.
• Monitor the condition and working of fire protection equipment such as hydrants, sprinklers, alarms, detectors, and extinguishers, and ensure they are tested, inspected, and documented on a regular basis.
• Carry out fire risk reviews from time to time, introduce preventive controls, maintain and revise SOPs and emergency response procedures, and organize fire drills and evacuation drills.
• Provide routine fire safety training for employees, tenants, and security personnel, and build awareness around hazard spotting, safe practices, and correct PPE usage.
• Take charge as the Incident Commander during emergencies, examine incidents after they occur, suggest corrective actions, and compile reports covering audits, risks, and compliance position while coordinating with relevant stakeholders for ongoing improvement.

Eligibility

Graduates from any stream may apply, provided they meet the required experience and certification criteria.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience in fire and safety-related work.
• NFSC certification is compulsory.
• Sound knowledge of fire safety regulations, compliance processes, and emergency response practices.
• Ability to manage inspections, drills, incident response, and compliance documentation.
