Role Overview
Motadata is seeking an experienced Government Account Manager to expand business across public sector organizations. The role is based in Lucknow or Jaipur and focuses on building opportunities within Government Departments, PSUs, Smart Cities, Defence, and similar entities.
What the Role Focuses On
This position is centered on government and PSU sales, with responsibility for identifying, advancing, and closing enterprise software and IT infrastructure opportunities through public procurement channels.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop sales and business growth across Central and State Government bodies, PSUs, Smart City bodies, and e-Governance initiatives.
- Identify and progress opportunities via government tenders, GeM, RFPs, RFQs, and related procurement routes.
- Maintain strong working relationships with decision-makers, consultants, procurement stakeholders, and technology partners.
- Coordinate with System Integrators, Global System Integrators, channel partners, and distributors to create joint opportunities.
- Manage the full sales process, including opportunity discovery, bid planning, stakeholder coordination, commercial negotiations, and final closure.
- Work closely with presales, product, and delivery teams to propose suitable solutions and support successful implementation.
- Monitor government programs, modernization efforts, digital transformation projects, and budget announcements to uncover new business prospects.
Preferred Background
Candidates with experience in OEM-led environments and public sector account management will be strongly preferred. Prior exposure to selling IT infrastructure, ITSM, ITOM, observability, network monitoring, cybersecurity, cloud, or enterprise software solutions is highly relevant.
Target Account Experience
Hands-on experience managing Government and PSU accounts in Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, or North India will be a major advantage. Established relationships with government departments, Smart City authorities, PSUs, and system integrators will strengthen the profile.
