Job description

Role overview

The Account Development Manager role focuses on expanding sales through assigned Pittsburgh Paints Company retail locations while strengthening existing accounts and creating new business opportunities. The position is based in and around Red Deer, Alberta, and involves working remotely as well as travelling on the road within the territory.

Key responsibilities

  • Deliver excellent service to current customers by staying current on promotions, new products, and customer service best practices, while identifying opportunities to increase business.
  • Create account plans, pursue sales opportunities, and build a clear understanding of existing accounts and the market segments they support.
  • Manage accounts through a CRM system, including call records, contact details, and reporting.
  • Partner with store managers and team members to make sure customer needs are handled effectively.
  • Prepare customer quotations in line with pricing approaches and margin goals.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma is required.
  • At least 3 years of experience delivering strong customer service.
  • Prior use of CRM software is preferred.
  • Experience in coatings is an advantage.
  • Daily travel across the assigned area is required.
  • A valid driver's license is mandatory.
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada without current or future employment-based visa sponsorship, including WP, LMIA, TFWP, IMP, PGWP, CUSMA, GTS, OWP, BOWP, SOWP, or any other employment-based visa category.

Additional information

The company participates in a Fixed and Variable Rate (FAVR) vehicle reimbursement program. Under this arrangement, you use your own vehicle and receive tax-free reimbursement designed to offset both fixed expenses such as insurance and variable costs such as fuel.
