Goods Inwards and Site Maintenance Associate

About The Role

Join the Banner Plaza team, part of The Plaza Group—one of Ireland's top independent service groups along key motorways and primary routes. This position, under the Store Manager's guidance, encompasses efficient handling of warehouse operations and light maintenance work to support smooth site function.

Primary Duties

• Oversee receipt and dispatch of goods with strict adherence to purchase orders.
• Maintain security and systematic orderliness within back store areas, managing supplier access.
• Organize stock storage according to food safety standards.
• Handle daily submission of invoices and delivery paperwork.
• Carry out general maintenance tasks both inside the premises and outdoors.
• Ensure minimal disruption to customers while maintaining workmanship quality.
• Uphold cleanliness in external zones such as storage areas, forecourt, and parking facilities.
• Conduct weekly stock counts and manage inventory accurately.
• Implement hygiene protocols aligned with QSC standards and HACCP guidelines.
• Manage proper storage and documentation for returned items.
• Address varied light maintenance duties to keep the store in prime condition.

Additional Responsibilities

• Adhere consistently to company policies, procedures, and security measures.
• Provide support in staff training when necessary.
• Maintain a professional approach in all dealings with customers and suppliers.
• Support waste management and encourage onsite recycling efforts.
• Manage combi unit breakdowns, storage, and return while ensuring safety and hygiene.
• Comply with health and safety regulations and report any violations promptly.
• Keep forecourt clean, including bin emptying and landscaping upkeep.
• Operate compactors according to safety guidelines.
• Assist with any additional site duties as requested.

Work Environment and Eligibility

The role is physically demanding with periods of prolonged standing in a fast-paced business setting. Only applicants with legal work rights in Ireland will be considered.
