The company’s cloud identity platform is designed to remove barriers while protecting digital identities, and its culture is centered on respecting individuality and encouraging people to bring their authentic selves to work.
Headquartered in Denver, Colorado, Ping Identity operates with teams and offices across the globe and supports major enterprises worldwide, including more than half of the Fortune 100. The company is focused on reshaping how organizations think about cybersecurity, digital experiences, and identity and access management.
Role Overview
The Global VP & GM, Partner Ecosystem is a senior executive role accountable for defining the vision, global strategy, and execution of Ping Identity’s technology partner ecosystem. This leader will guide a high-performing team to turn the partner program into a durable engine for growth by building strong alliances with software vendors, cloud providers, and system integrators.
This position sits at the junction of product innovation and market expansion, with direct responsibility for making partner strategy a source of competitive advantage, customer success, and sustained revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Set the worldwide technology partnership roadmap and keep refining it so it stays aligned with business growth goals and market shifts.
- Find, evaluate, and prioritize strategic alliances with cloud platforms, global system integrators, and independent software vendors to broaden market reach.
- Integrate partners into go-to-market execution through co-selling, co-building, and co-delivery in collaboration with Product, Engineering, Sales, and Customer Experience teams.
- Lead, coach, and expand a strong team of partnership professionals while promoting ownership, innovation, and accountability.
- Negotiate sophisticated multi-year partnership contracts that balance business protection with shared upside.
- Support the creation of joint offerings that work well together technically and create strong value for shared customers.
- Own partner-generated and partner-influenced revenue, pipeline impact, and attach rates, and define meaningful KPIs and partner health measures for executives and the Board.
- Represent the company as a visible industry voice and thought leader at events, strengthening Ping Identity’s position as a preferred partner in IAM.
- Advocate internally for partner priorities so engineering plans and sales incentives reinforce a partner-first approach.
Required Qualifications
- At least 15 years of experience in business development or technology partnerships, including 3–5 years in a senior leadership role such as VP or equivalent.
- Strong background in cybersecurity, identity and access management, or SaaS environments.
- Demonstrated success in building or significantly transforming a global partner ecosystem that delivers measurable revenue results.
- Advanced capability in structuring revenue-sharing, co-selling, and licensing agreements.
- Excellent ability to influence C-level stakeholders at major technology companies and collaborate with executive peers internally.
- Experience managing complex organizational structures and using data to guide partnership investments.
- Solid understanding of cloud architectures, API ecosystems, and software integration models.
- Proven ability to hire, retain, and develop diverse, high-performing global teams.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
Preferred Attributes
- Experience working directly with leading cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, and GCP, as well as global systems integrators.
- History of generating substantial indirect revenue through partner-led go-to-market motions.
- Familiarity with PRM platforms and Salesforce-based partner operations.
Compensation
The approximate base hiring range for this position in Colorado is $225,000 to $275,000, plus variable pay. Final compensation will depend on factors such as knowledge, skills, and abilities, in line with Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act (SB 19-085).
