Job Overview

The Global Rewards Specialist is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing global compensation, benefits, and reward programs that ensure competitiveness, fairness, compliance, and alignment with UPL Limited's strategic goals. This position collaborates closely with HR, Finance, and various business units to provide data-informed rewards solutions aimed at attracting, motivating, and retaining talent worldwide.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer global compensation initiatives including merit increases, promotions, incentive schemes, job evaluations, and market benchmarking to maintain internal fairness and external market competitiveness.
  • Support governance and management of global benefits and rewards policies, working in close coordination with regional HR teams and external vendors to ensure consistent adherence and compliance.
  • Assist in global mobility programs by handling international assignment compensations, allowances, conducting mobility benchmarking, and managing assignment cost tracking in partnership with mobility and tax teams.
  • Develop and deliver analytics, dashboards, and reports focused on compensation, benefits costs, assignment trends, and workforce metrics to facilitate informed decision-making.
  • Ensure adherence to global governance frameworks, internal control systems, and local regulatory standards across compensation, benefits, and mobility programs.
  • Collaborate with HR Business Partners, Finance, Payroll, and Global Mobility teams to support various rewards initiatives, projects, and address employee inquiries within a complex, matrixed global environment.

Required Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in human resources from a Tier I or Tier II business school.
  • 3 to 8 years of experience managing compensation, benefits, or total rewards within a multinational corporation.
  • Familiarity with global mobility processes is highly desirable.
  • Experience incorporating compensation surveys, job evaluation techniques, and understanding of mobility cost frameworks.

Skills and Competencies

  • In-depth understanding of compensation frameworks, job architectures, and market benchmarking methodologies.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel; experience with HRIS systems and tools supporting compensation planning and mobility is preferred.
  • Capability to create impactful insights and interactive dashboards using data visualization platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or Qlik for leadership reporting.
  • Knowledge of AI-powered and modern analytics tools applied to workforce and rewards analysis.
  • Strong capacity to handle confidential employee information with utmost discretion.
