About the Role
Our client is an established international specialty chemicals company with a substantial footprint in Europe, North America, and Asia. They are expanding and seeking a seasoned Global Product Manager specialized in lubricants to spearhead global product strategies, foster supplier relationships, and drive commercial growth worldwide.
Core Responsibilities
- Formulate and execute worldwide product strategies aligned with the company's business expansion goals.
- Recognize new product prospects and assess potential partnerships with suppliers.
- Oversee and synchronize purchasing functions across various international divisions, including supplier negotiation and contract management.
- Maintain and strengthen pivotal global client relationships within the lubricants market.
- Perform comprehensive market, competitive, and industry analysis to spot trends and new opportunities.
- Work closely with regulatory teams to ensure adherence to industry standards and regional regulations.
- Represent the company globally at industry fairs, conferences, and customer engagements.
- Support business growth initiatives, focusing extensively on the Asian markets.
Candidate Profile
- Academic degree or professional qualification in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Business, or similar technical/commercial fields.
- Extensive experience in the chemical industry, preferably related to lubricants, additives, specialty chemicals, or allied sectors.
- Proven track record in product management, business development, technical sales, or commercial leadership roles.
- Strong commercial insight complemented by excellent negotiation, procurement, and contract management expertise.
- Experience managing international supplier and customer networks.
- Demonstrated engagement with Asian markets through customers, suppliers, distribution partners, or commercial activities.
- Entrepreneurial attitude with a proactive and solution-driven mindset.
- Exceptional intercultural communication skills and ability to collaborate with multicultural global teams.
- Fluent English proficiency; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
- Willingness to undertake international travel.
