Role Overview

We are looking for a Global People Operations Specialist to enhance and manage our global employee operations. This role is central to delivering excellent employee experiences and ensuring operational accuracy, scalability, and compliance as Slice expands. The position involves administering employee processes throughout the US and Canada including benefits, leaves of absence, employee lifecycle events, compliance, and coordination between payroll and HR systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer employee benefits programs in the US and Canada, acting as a primary contact for all employee benefit inquiries.
• Handle leave of absence programs, workers’ compensation, and relevant employee communications.
• Oversee employee lifecycle procedures such as onboarding, offboarding, promotions, transfers, compensation adjustments, and terminations.
• Maintain compliance records, policy documentation, and ensure adherence to regulations within designated regions.
• Collaborate closely with Payroll, Finance, IT, and People teams to deliver seamless employee experiences.
• Audit and ensure data integrity in HR systems.
• Contribute to HR system projects, process enhancements, workflow documentation, and automation efforts.
• Manage employee support requests through a ticketing system, adhering to service-level objectives.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum 2 years in HR operations, benefits administration, or similar field.
• Proven experience managing employee benefits and addressing employee queries across multiple offerings.
• Knowledge of leave of absence management including medical, parental, disability, or statutory leaves.
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage high-volume, urgent workloads efficiently.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving capabilities, and independence in handling competing priorities.
• Excellent communication skills with a service-focused approach.
• Comfortable handling employee data with high confidentiality and accuracy standards.
• Experience collaborating across departments to deliver operational and employee support processes.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with BSwift benefits platform or comparable systems.
• Experience with HR platforms like ADP Workforce Now, UKG, HiBob, or equivalents.
• Understanding of US benefits administration and compliance specifics.
• Exposure to Canadian HR operations, benefits, and employment legislation.
• Background in workers’ compensation administration.
• Experience with workflow documentation, HR system implementations, and process improvements.
• Interest in AI and emerging technologies to enhance operational efficiency.

Compensation and Benefits

• Salary range: USD $75,000 to $90,000 / CAD $60,000 to $75,000 plus benefits.
