Role Overview

We are looking for a Global Payroll Operations Specialist focusing on France to oversee the complete payroll process. This role involves ensuring compliance, accuracy, and scalable payroll operations in a dynamic environment. You'll collaborate with EOR HR, Product, and Engineering teams to provide exemplary payroll services and help create efficient global payroll strategies.

Primary Responsibilities

• Oversee payroll processes for France, including filings, payments, and compliance tasks.
• Address and solve intricate payroll and tax-related challenges.
• Engage with French governmental bodies such as URSSAF and DGFIP.
• Partner with Product and Engineering teams to enhance payroll system capabilities, fix issues, and maintain compliance.
• Assist in launching managed payroll solutions.
• Drive efforts towards standardizing and automating payroll procedures.
• Manage customer support tickets ensuring timely and effective resolution.
• Support the creation and maintenance of payroll documentation, playbooks, and operational guidelines.

Minimum Qualifications

• Between two to five years of experience handling French payroll operations.
• Deep knowledge of French payroll regulations including DSN, social contributions, and tax reporting.
• Background in client-facing payroll roles within providers, accounting firms, or SaaS platforms.
• Demonstrated ability to accurately and efficiently manage large volumes of payroll tasks.
• Strong analytical thinking and meticulous problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency with payroll software and spreadsheet tools like Excel or Google Sheets.
• Fluency in both French and English, with excellent verbal and written communication.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience within fast-paced technology or SaaS firms.
• Knowledge of payroll automation tools and process enhancement projects.
• Proven cross-team collaboration with Product and Engineering departments.
• Familiarity with HRIS systems or integrated payroll platforms.
• Experience scaling payroll operations or establishing operational workflows.
• Ability to convert operational challenges into actionable product enhancements.
