Job description
Role Overview
We are seeking a Global Patient Advocacy Lead to develop and drive our international patient advocacy initiatives, ensuring that the voices of patients are deeply integrated into our external engagement, disease awareness efforts, and corporate communications.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and continuously refine a global patient advocacy strategy aligned with therapeutic priorities and company goals.
- Enhance the incorporation of patient perspectives within the corporate narrative and public communications.
- Establish and nurture partnerships with patient organizations at European and international levels, including umbrella and national groups.
- Represent the organization in relevant advocacy forums and stakeholder discussions.
- Collaborate with affiliates to facilitate compliant and impactful advocacy partnerships across different markets.
- Facilitate best practice exchanges among regional teams and connect local initiatives.
- Support advocacy programs, disease awareness campaigns, and patient-centered partnerships with Medical Affairs and regional teams.
- Serve as a liaison across departments to bring patient insights into internal strategies and raise awareness within the organization.
Candidate Profile
- University degree in communications, public affairs, life sciences, or a related discipline.
- Proven expertise in patient advocacy, corporate affairs, or stakeholder engagement within healthcare or pharmaceutical sectors.
- Experience collaborating with patient organizations and a solid understanding of the advocacy landscape.
- Competent in managing complex stakeholders within international and cross-functional environments.
- Adept at converting patient insights into actionable initiatives and communication strategies.
- Experience in rare diseases is advantageous.
- Proficient in English; additional language skills are beneficial.
