Role Overview

Reporting at the enterprise level, the Global Head of Talent Acquisition is responsible for defining and executing Mercury's worldwide talent acquisition strategy to sustain growth and develop long-term organizational capabilities. The role partners closely with executive leadership to predict workforce demands, establish a scalable global talent acquisition model, and secure essential talent in fiercely competitive markets.

This position sets strategic standards and frameworks across all regions while facilitating localized implementation. It plays a vital role in high-level hiring, succession planning, workforce capability enhancement, and the strengthening of our employer brand.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and take ownership of the global talent acquisition strategy aligned with corporate growth and future workforce needs.
  • Serve as a strategic consultant to the Executive Team regarding workforce trends, talent risks worldwide, and emergent skill requirements.
  • Support decisions about market entry, business expansion, and acquisitions by assessing talent availability and related risks beforehand.
  • Create and manage the global talent acquisition operating model addressing centralization vs. regional approaches, partnership utilization, and investment priorities.
  • Implement global standards, policies, governance, and performance metrics to ensure consistent and ethical hiring across all regions.
  • Lead global executive recruitment and critical role hiring initiatives, collaborating directly with top executives.
  • Facilitate succession planning by identifying external talent pools and cultivating long-term pipelines for key leadership and strategic roles.
  • Offer insights into executive talent landscapes, competitiveness, and evolving capabilities.
  • Work with HR leaders to convert business strategies into actionable, forward-looking workforce plans.
  • Ensure future-proof talent pipelines for priority skills and strategic positions to transition from reactive hiring to proactive development.
  • Oversee talent acquisition technologies and analytics including ATS systems, AI-powered sourcing, and recruitment marketing platforms to drive decisions and improvements.
  • Maintain enterprise-wide reporting and dashboards for transparent global hiring performance and trend analysis.
  • Craft and uphold the organization’s global employer brand and employee value proposition, adapting recruitment marketing locally while sustaining a unified narrative.
  • Establish Mercury as an employer of choice in critical talent markets worldwide.
  • Integrate inclusive hiring practices throughout global TA strategies and governance frameworks, promoting diversity and equity in leadership and vital roles.
  • Track diversity progress and hold regions accountable for equitable recruitment processes.
  • Build and inspire a high-performing global talent acquisition leadership team, empowering regional leaders through strategy, governance, development, and coaching.
  • Promote a culture prioritizing strategic thought, accountability, and continuous advancement within the talent acquisition function.

Candidate Requirements

  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in human resources, business, or a related field is essential.
  • Demonstrated extensive experience in talent acquisition, including significant responsibility for global enterprise functions across AMERS, Europe, and APAC regions.
  • Proven ability to design and scale comprehensive global talent acquisition strategies and operating models.
  • Expertise in leading executive search efforts and backing succession planning at senior leadership tiers.
  • A strong commercial acumen with the capability to influence executive-level stakeholders effectively.
  • Deep knowledge of global labor markets, talent acquisition technologies, and data-centric decision-making.
  • Comfort managing complex, fast-growing, multinational environments with readiness for global travel.
