Role overview

A large international organisation is broadening its Digital & Data Platform into new markets after a successful rollout in North America. In this leadership position, the Senior Director of Solution Architecture will shape the design, evaluation, and delivery of enterprise platform capabilities across EMEA, APAC, and Latin America.

This is a strategic, high-visibility role that connects an established platform with the realities of regional markets. It requires balancing globally consistent architecture with the flexibility needed locally, while partnering with business, product, and technology leaders to drive large-scale transformation.

Key responsibilities

  • Set the solution architecture direction for the platform’s global growth.
  • Review the current platform landscape and align its capabilities to international business requirements.
  • Create scalable architecture solutions spanning ERP, supply chain, order management, and customer experience capabilities.
  • Establish target-state architecture models that follow global standards.
  • Spot capability gaps and convert them into workable, scalable solutions.
  • Lead architectural decisions around integration, security, performance, and scalability.
  • Work with regional stakeholders to capture country-specific needs and constraints.
  • Guide capability assessments, roadmaps, and solution design workstreams.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentoring to architecture and delivery teams.
  • Help shape phased rollout approaches across multiple regions.
  • Promote innovation using cloud-first, AI-enabled, and modern platform approaches.

Requirements

  • At least 15 years of experience in enterprise solution architecture or digital transformation.
  • Strong history of delivering large-scale global transformation programmes.
  • Deep knowledge of ERP environments, enterprise platforms, and supply chain systems.
  • Hands-on experience designing integrated, cloud-based architectures that can scale.
  • Solid understanding of international business settings and localisation challenges.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and executive-level communication skills.
  • Background in complex, matrixed global organisations.
  • Knowledge of core business processes such as OTC, P2P, RTR, planning, logistics, and warehousing.
  • Comfort working in Agile and DevOps environments.

Preferred experience

  • Experience delivering platforms across EMEA, APAC, or Latin America.
  • Exposure to distribution, manufacturing, or industrial sectors.
  • Familiarity with AI, automation, or intelligent workflow platforms.
  • Previous involvement in global ERP transformation or harmonisation programmes.
