Structural Design Engineer for Qatar (min. 10 years experience)

Overview

A well-established engineering consultancy in Doha is looking for Structural Engineers from the Philippines who are open to working internationally in Qatar. Relocation assistance will be provided to selected candidates.

The role focuses on the analysis and design of reinforced concrete and steel structures for major building developments, with an emphasis on safe, efficient, and code-compliant solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out structural analysis and design for reinforced concrete buildings, including towers of 20 or more storeys.
• Prepare, check, and interpret structural calculations, analytical models, and design documentation.
• Use CSI tools such as ETABS and SAFE for modelling and analysis work.
• Produce structural drawings and work with drafting teams to finalise deliverables.
• Work with architectural, MEP, and other project teams to ensure coordinated design integration.
• Assess and improve structural systems in reinforced concrete and steel for practicality, buildability, and efficiency.
• Make sure all designs meet applicable international standards and local authority requirements.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.
• At least 10 years of experience in structural design consultancy.
• Strong background in large-scale reinforced concrete projects, especially high-rise buildings exceeding 20 floors.
• Hands-on proficiency with ETABS and SAFE from CSI.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD.
• Experience collaborating across multiple disciplines.
• Ability to review structural steel systems is required.
• Prior GCC experience will be considered an advantage.
