Job description
Role Overview and Responsibilities
This position involves supporting the monthly financial reporting processes, including the preparation of site-level Profit & Loss statements and variance analyses. The role requires tracking and reporting on key operational performance indicators, analyzing cost trends to uncover reasons for deviations versus forecasts and plans, and assisting with inventory reporting coupled with working capital assessments. Additionally, the candidate will support forecasting and variance analysis of non-standard Cost of Goods Sold in collaboration with Business Unit Finance teams. Responsibilities also include developing and maintaining the manufacturing variance forecast model utilizing tools such as SmartView and Essbase, monitoring budget adherence while identifying significant risks and growth prospects, and collaborating cross-functionally with teams like Operations, Procurement, and Engineering to collect data and present financial insights. Accuracy and completeness of financial data must be maintained, alongside provision of support for various ad-hoc financial analyses.
Required Skills and Experience
- Qualified Chartered Accountant with 3 to 5 years relevant experience in finance operations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Advanced capability in Microsoft Excel.
- Familiarity with Oracle 12, including OBIEE and Project Accounting modules, as well as Hyperion Planning, Essbase, and Tableau is highly advantageous.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a dynamic, team-focused environment.
