General Practitioner

Role overview

We are hiring an experienced General Practitioner for a private healthcare clinic in Edenderry, County Offaly. This is a permanent full-time position within a supportive, non-HSE setting, offering strong earning potential and a flexible approach to scheduling.

Salary: EUR 110,000.

Start date: immediate.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality GP consultations for both acute and long-term conditions, including appointments carried out face to face and remotely.
• Assess, diagnose, and manage a wide range of health concerns across all age groups, including minor procedures where clinically appropriate.
• Arrange investigations, review results, and direct patients to specialist care when needed.
• Keep clinical documentation accurate and compliant with GDPR and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Work closely with nursing colleagues and other healthcare professionals, and contribute to clinical governance activities.

Required qualifications

• A primary medical qualification plus MICGP, or an equivalent qualification such as MRCGP or FRACGP.
• Current, unrestricted registration with the Medical Council of Ireland in the GP Division.
• Successful completion of an accredited GP training programme.
• Valid medical indemnity cover.
• Current training in BLS, safeguarding, and infection control.
