Our aspiration is to establish ourselves as a leading car wash company by investing in our people, fostering effective operations, and embracing a culture centered on ongoing improvement. Our core values emphasize getting results, teamwork, integrity, enjoyment, and passion for our work.

Position Overview

We are seeking a General Manager who reflects our values and is eager to manage a site independently, assemble and lead a successful team, and actively contribute to our growth mission. This role reports directly to the District Manager and is classified as exempt or non-exempt under FLSA. Physical demands include occasional lengthy periods of walking or standing, outdoor work under various weather conditions, and ability to lift up to 25 pounds without assistance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Recruit, train, mentor, and develop all team members.
  • Foster a culture of accountability aligned with LUV operational protocols at the site.
  • Ensure all onboarding, orientation, and training procedures are followed and kept current for every new employee.
  • Provide continual development and coaching for Assistant General Managers and promising hourly staff.
  • Collaborate with HR on disciplinary actions including investigations and terminations.
  • Work with the District Manager to boost local sales and volume through community outreach and marketing initiatives.
  • Assist in budget creation and forecasting alongside District Manager.
  • Respond promptly and courteously to inquiries and follow up on pending tasks efficiently.
  • Review payroll reports via Paylocity, approve employee payroll in a timely manner, and submit commissions correctly.
  • Complete required operational checklists accurately and within deadlines.
  • Ensure team members adhere to prescribed sales scripts and guiding procedures.
  • Maintain site operations safely and comply with all regulatory, local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Build strong customer relationships through excellent service to promote membership sales.
  • Prepare weekly staff schedules and manage labor consistent with company standards.
  • Conduct ongoing site walkthroughs to maintain safety, efficiency, and high-quality service, engaging customers directly to confirm satisfaction.
  • Address customer complaints and issues, partnering with the District Manager to achieve swift, positive resolutions.
  • Coordinate with Facilities to ensure proper maintenance and safe operation of equipment, minimizing downtime.
  • Perform other duties as assigned relevant to the role.

Requirements

  • Preferred high school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree in business management, hospitality, or related field is advantageous.
  • A minimum of three years' management experience is required, with preference given to backgrounds in restaurant or hospitality management; car wash or automotive industry experience is a plus.
  • Strong verbal and written communication capabilities.
  • Effective organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently.

Benefits and Perks

  • Eligibility for performance bonuses to reward achieved results.
  • Overtime opportunities allowing for increased earnings.
  • 401(k) retirement plan with company match to support future financial security.
  • Health insurance coverage including Health Savings Account (HSA) options.
  • Vision and dental care benefits.
  • Life insurance protection.
  • Paid vacation and sick leave to support work-life balance.
  • Employee discount opportunities.
  • Access to an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) for personal support.
