Role overview

As the General Manager for Australia and New Zealand, you will take ownership of the business across the region while also contributing to the worldwide marketing direction for Allpress. This is a senior leadership position with strong visibility, requiring you to shape strategy, accelerate growth and improve commercial outcomes while building a culture grounded in values and performance.

You will be central to delivering the Allpress plan across ANZ by expanding the brand, supporting customers and helping advance the mission of creating better days for employees, cafes, communities and the planet.

This position is based in Collingwood, Melbourne.

Key responsibilities

  • Deliver commercial results across Australia and New Zealand, with accountability for sales expansion, margin improvement and profitability goals.
  • Set and execute the Australia strategy so it aligns with the global Allpress vision and medium-term plan.
  • Strengthen brand growth and support the global marketing team by protecting brand equity and deepening customer engagement.
  • Spot and act on opportunities that broaden the customer base, improve market reach and lift long-term profitability.
  • Recruit, guide and develop a strong Australian leadership team and help sustain an inclusive, high-performance culture.
  • Provide leadership support for the New Zealand business.
  • Manage supply chain performance to meet service, cost and operational KPI targets.
  • Work closely across commercial, supply chain, finance, marketing and operations functions to keep execution aligned.
  • Lead improvement initiatives and refine the operating model to support future expansion.
  • Drive major transformation and investment programs, including network redesign and infrastructure growth.
  • Help build eCommerce capability on a global scale.

Candidate profile

  • Established background in senior leadership within coffee, retail/FMCG or hospitality settings.
  • Strong commercial judgement with a clear record of improving growth, profitability and strategic results.
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams in sales, marketing, operations and supply chain.
  • Ability to create and implement strategy while remaining engaged in day-to-day delivery.
  • Confident leadership style with the ability to shape culture locally and influence senior executives and board members.
  • Proven ability to build motivated, high-performing teams.
  • Customer- and brand-led perspective, with awareness of both wholesale and consumer market dynamics.
  • Track record of delivering transformation, continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills, including experience with budgets, P&L ownership and performance tracking.
  • Collaborative approach with the ability to work effectively across global and regional stakeholders.
