Role Overview

The General Manager for 10 Barrel in Bend East, Oregon is a full-time exempt role based onsite. This position reports to the Regional Pubs Manager and is responsible for overseeing front-of-house and back-of-house operations, as well as broader infrastructure and financial performance. The GM sets the operating direction, leads meetings, ensures key initiatives are carried out, and keeps assistant managers, the Executive Chef, and staff aligned with the strategic plan. The role is largely independent while also requiring regular coordination with ownership and other functional leaders to maintain smooth operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and preserve positive working relationships with peers, team members, vendors, and other colleagues across the organization.
  • Improve cost efficiency through coaching, oversight, inventory discipline, and accurate POS pricing setup.
  • Make sure all financial and administrative reports are completed correctly and turned in by the required deadlines.
  • Analyze order trends, sales data, and related reporting to track profitability and support informed P&L management.
  • Work closely with the Executive Chef to keep pricing and inventory information current and accurate.
  • Carry out routine checks in the kitchen and counter areas to confirm operations are running efficiently.
  • Address guest concerns promptly and take the right corrective actions to support retention and satisfaction.
  • Manage labor results by building schedules, monitoring staffing, and making real-time decisions that protect labor budgets while maintaining an excellent guest experience.
  • Direct and support the Banquet Manager to ensure events are executed successfully, teams are developed, standards are upheld, and financial goals are met.

Skills and Experience

  • Confident leadership, supervision, and communication abilities.
  • Solid understanding of the beverage and alcohol industry.
  • Ability to evaluate what is working well and what needs improvement, then act on those findings.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with both employees and customers.
  • Comfort using Microsoft Office and standard office equipment.
  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
  • At least 3 years of prior general management experience is preferred, ideally in food service or restaurant settings.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is USD 75,000 to 80,000 annually, depending on experience.
