Overview

West Fraser invites motivated individuals to apply for a full-time General Labourer role at our Slave Lake, Alberta facility. This position integrates into our Production Department under the guidance of the Operations & Production Supervisor, providing an opportunity to contribute to a vital manufacturing process.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness by removing plant debris throughout the production area.
• Sort and handle various veneer pieces, organizing acceptable pieces by placing them into carts.
• Perform any additional production-related tasks as directed by the team lead.
• Adapt to variable shifts including weekends, days, afternoons, and nights.

Qualifications and Skills

• Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent diploma.
• Motivation to learn continuously, develop skills, and achieve success.
• Strong organizational abilities coupled with effective communication skills.
• Ability to work cooperatively, demonstrating excellent interpersonal and team-building qualities.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts including days, afternoons, nights, and weekends.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license.

Preferred Experience

• Previous work experience in manufacturing or industrial settings will be considered advantageous.
