Role Overview

As General Counsel and Head of Legal, you will oversee the entire legal function at GALVANY with a strategic mindset. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will work closely with the leadership team as a key advisor on all legal and corporate matters. You will bring structure to complex issues, balance risk and speed effectively, and establish scalable and efficient legal processes. Your role includes building the organizational systems and structures necessary for Legal to grow alongside the company.

Key Responsibilities

• Full responsibility for the legal department and its strategic development within the company.
• Serving as a trusted advisor to the CEO, C-level executives, and leadership team on legal and business questions.
• Designing, enhancing, and scaling legal structures and processes.
• Managing external law firms efficiently and developing scalable legal frameworks including the use of modern tools and AI solutions.
• Building and eventually leading the legal team.
• Overseeing budgets, priorities, and stakeholder management across the legal area.
• Providing advice on commercial, regulatory, and operational matters in a fast-growing business environment.
• Contributing to key initiatives such as expansion, compliance, and risk management.

Candidate Profile

• Qualified lawyer or equivalent legal background.
• Several years of experience as an in-house counsel, preferably in a dynamic and high-growth startup environment.
• Proven track record in independently managing complex topics or projects.
• Initial experience with building organizational structures, processes, or teams.
• Strong business acumen with a pragmatic, solution-oriented advisory approach.
• Motivation and interest in establishing and developing a full legal function.
