Role Overview

The General Accountant will support core accounting operations, help maintain clean financial records, and contribute to accurate and timely reporting. The role involves close coordination with internal teams, use of ERP tools, and support for month-end activities and compliance controls.

Key Responsibilities

  • Keep the general ledger updated and well-organized so month-end closing can be completed on time.
  • Apply three-way matching principles and work with relevant teams to clear invoice or PO-related mismatches.
  • Enter and process supplier invoices in the ERP system after verifying approvals and completeness.
  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and help build automation and dashboards that reduce manual work.
  • Assist in producing monthly financial reports for leadership review and audit support.
  • Follow internal control requirements and ensure all documentation is properly maintained within the ERP system.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a closely related discipline.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in financial reporting, ideally within e-commerce or logistics environments.
  • Good understanding of IFRS standards.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP platforms such as Odoo or similar systems.
  • Strong analytical ability, problem-solving capability, and solid business understanding.

Preferred Experience

  • Background in inventory-related accounting is an added advantage.

Additional Information

The role is based in Lusail, Qatar and is a full-time onsite position.
