Garment Buying Merchandiser

Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Apparel Buying Merchandiser to join our team in South Delhi, with a background in high-end fashion and luxury party wear. This role demands comprehensive merchandising expertise within a buying house setting, excellent negotiation abilities, and adeptness at managing supplier relationships.

Primary Duties

• Manage the complete merchandising cycle from product selection through delivery, ensuring alignment with current market trends and consumer preferences.
• Develop and maintain strong partnerships with suppliers and manufacturers; negotiate contracts and uphold quality standards.
• Perform market and trend analysis to spot new product opportunities and improve existing collections.
• Supervise inventory levels and sales metrics to provide suggestions for restocking or markdowns when required.
• Collaborate efficiently with design, production, and sales departments to ensure unified product strategies that match brand objectives.
• Produce and communicate periodic reports covering sales performance, inventory conditions, and industry trends to senior leadership.

Qualification Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Fashion Merchandising, Business Administration, or a closely related discipline.
• At least four years of hands-on experience in apparel merchandising in a buying house environment.
• In-depth knowledge of luxury fashion and party wear market trends.
• Strong skills in negotiation, data analysis, and communication; proficient with merchandising software and Microsoft Office applications.
