Job Overview

Keda Ceramics International Limited is seeking a dedicated and dependable Gardener to care for and maintain the green spaces encompassing the factory, office, and dormitory areas located in Miwani, Kisumu County. The ideal candidate will ensure these outdoor environments are pristine, vibrant, and well-kept.

Primary Duties

• Regularly water, fertilize, prune, remove weeds, and replant flowers, trees, shrubs, and other plants.
• Monitor plant health by managing pests and diseases to promote vigorous growth.
• Maintain cleanliness and care of gardens and green zones across all premises.
• Clear away dead branches, fallen foliage, weeds, and other garden debris.
• Use and care for gardening tools and equipment properly and responsibly.
• Inspect and service irrigation systems to ensure they are functioning correctly.
• Keep all landscaped areas tidy, safe, and visually appealing.
• Assist with landscaping and planting projects as necessary.
• Ensure all gardening tools are clean, securely stored, and operational.
• Carry out any additional gardening or landscaping tasks delegated by supervisors.

Candidate Qualifications

• Minimum of KCSE certificate or an equivalent qualification.
• Experience in gardening, landscaping, horticulture, or similar fields is advantageous.
• Familiarity with fundamental gardening practices including plant care, irrigation management, pruning techniques, and pest control.
• Competent in operating and maintaining standard gardening tools and equipment.
• Possess physical stamina to work outdoors for prolonged durations.
• Demonstrates a strong work ethic, reliability, and a commitment to cleanliness.
• Ability to follow directions and operate effectively with minimal supervision.
