About the role
Centenary Tavern is looking for a gaming professional to lead its busy gaming room with a strong focus on guest experience, presentation, and compliance. This opportunity is open to both full-time and part-time applicants, and the role suits someone who prefers being on the floor rather than behind a desk. The successful person will take charge of the gaming space, support the team, and help build strong relationships with local regulars.
What you’ll do
- Deliver a warm, familiar experience for regular guests and make them feel welcome.
- Partner with the Publican to keep the gaming room operating smoothly, safely, and in line with all applicable rules.
- Pass on your gaming knowledge to help the team perform at a high standard.
- Maintain a positive atmosphere through friendly service, energy, and professionalism during every shift.
Essential physical requirements
This position involves regular manual handling and lifting, including tasks such as moving stock, kegs, and deliveries. Candidates must be able to carry out physical duties safely and efficiently.
About you
You should bring prior experience in gaming rooms, ideally as an attendant, supervisor, or manager, and be ready to grow into a leadership role. The right person will be confident, people-oriented, and comfortable representing the gaming room in a visible, customer-facing position. A strong working knowledge of compliance and responsible gaming practices is essential. You must also hold a current RSA and RSG/RCG, subject to state requirements.
