Role Overview
This position is a full-time remote opportunity as a Fundraising Officer. The core responsibility is to strategize, execute, and oversee fundraising efforts that support the society's educational and community engagement projects. The officer will be tasked with locating potential donors, nurturing donor relationships, composing proposals, and liaising with philanthropic groups and charities.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and manage fundraising campaigns aligned with CLSSBE’s mission.
- Identify and engage prospective donors and maintain ongoing donor relationships.
- Develop compelling proposals, reports, and presentations to support fundraising activities.
- Manage donor databases and monitor progress toward fundraising goals.
- Coordinate with programming and communications teams to unify fundraising messages with active projects.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proficient communication and writing abilities suitable for donor engagement and documentation.
- Understanding of philanthropy and charitable sectors with prior experience working alongside donors and nonprofit collaborators.
- Strong organizational skills capable of handling multiple fundraising campaigns and maintaining records.
- Background in fundraising, development, or nonprofit operations, notably within education or community initiatives.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work remotely while collaborating effectively across teams.
- Competent using office productivity software and tools for fundraising or customer relationship management.
- Bachelor’s degree in fields related to Nonprofit Management, Social Sciences, Communications, Business, or comparable practical experience.
- Passion for inclusive education and social impact is highly regarded.
