Job description

Role Overview

The Community Partnerships Officer is responsible for bringing WITH LOVE UGANDA's vision to life through effective collaboration at the community level. The ideal candidate excels at quickly establishing trust, coordinating stakeholders thoughtfully, and managing multiple initiatives to ensure continuous progress.

This position involves close cooperation with the programme, communications, and operations teams to bolster relationship development, plan outreach, and ensure consistent engagement with crucial partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, engage, and sustain relationships with community leaders, local organizations, and strategic grassroots partners.
  • Organize meetings and ensure timely follow-up and partnership coordination across various programmes.
  • Assist in organizing and executing outreach campaigns, on-site visits, and partner briefings.
  • Monitor engagement progress, assess emerging community needs and risks, and report findings clearly to internal teams.
  • Contribute to drafting partnership proposals, concept notes, and materials for managing external relationships.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in social sciences, development studies, public administration, communications, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of three years' experience in partnership management, community mobilization, or programme coordination.
  • Proven ability in interpersonal communication, written skills, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks, maintain accurate records, and ensure dependable follow-through.
  • Comfortable working in a purpose-driven environment with shifting priorities.

Additional Advantages

  • Experience working with NGOs, social enterprises, or citizen-led development organizations.
  • Familiarity with community-driven health, youth, or housing projects.
  • Fluency in English plus at least one major Ugandan local language.
