Job Description

We are currently seeking a Janitor to undertake comprehensive cleaning and upkeep duties for assigned spaces within a building or across multiple client locations. Responsibilities vary as duties must adapt to specific client requirements, so flexibility is essential.

Work Schedule and Compensation

The position offers an hourly wage of $12 and requires working from Monday to Sunday, 6 AM to 11 AM.

Core Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain various floor types using sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming methods.
• Adhere strictly to safety procedures with chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage.
• Attend to the cleaning and upkeep of restrooms, meeting rooms, hallways, and entrance areas.
• Dispose of trash by emptying cans properly and using compactors when applicable.
• Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors with appropriate materials and equipment.
• Perform spot cleaning of carpets and assist with carpet extraction and shampooing.
• Replenish necessary paper and sanitary supplies.
• Follow a detailed housekeeping schedule diligently.
• Occasionally handle heavy-duty cleaning machinery, such as floor scrubbers and buffers.
• Carry out additional tasks as assigned based on work scope or client directives.

Required Qualifications

• Possession of a high school diploma or equivalent; alternatively, at least six months' prior janitorial experience.
• Willingness to engage in on-the-job training.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to carefully execute tasks.
• Capacity to comprehend and follow instructions effectively.

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Previous experience in cleaning or janitorial roles is advantageous.
• Knowledge of custodial standards and commercial cleaning protocols.
• Familiarity with floor care procedures, including buffing and waxing.
• Experience in industrial cleaning or facilities maintenance preferred.
