Role Overview

A Jovie family in Knoxville, Tennessee is looking for a seasoned, caring nanny to provide steady care for their 6-month-old infant. This full-time position is centered on creating a calm, safe, and screen-free environment that supports the child’s early growth and daily routine. The family is especially interested in someone who enjoys building a long-term relationship and helping a baby reach important milestones.

The ideal candidate will be gentle, dependable, and experienced with infant care, including baby-led weaning. The household values consistency, responsive caregiving, and a peaceful atmosphere where the baby can learn through play, exploration, and age-appropriate interaction.

Schedule and Start

Start date is ASAP. The regular schedule runs Monday through Thursday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with a few flexible Friday hours as needed.

Child Details

You will be caring for one infant, age 6 months.

Key Duties

  • Provide attentive, affectionate care for one baby throughout the day.
  • Help with baby-led weaning; the family will prepare all meals.
  • Feed expressed breast milk and follow the family’s established feeding routine.
  • Keep a consistent daily rhythm, including two naps.
  • Support tummy time, gross motor development, walks, and practice with cup drinking.
  • Wash baby bottles and dishes used for the child.
  • Handle light housekeeping related to the child.
  • Follow a shoes-off, no-screen household routine.
  • Use gentle caregiving practices suitable for sensitive skin.
  • Provide extra help during a short recovery period after a minor outpatient procedure soon after the job begins.
