Grand Hotel Malahide, managed by FBD Hotels & Resorts, is seeking a Full Time Host for its South Bank Bar. The host acts as the initial point of contact for guests, offering a warm welcome and facilitating smooth front-of-house operations within a 4-star hotel environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Warmly greet guests upon arrival, providing a friendly and professional first impression.
• Efficiently manage seating arrangements to maximize guest capacity and minimize wait times.
• Maintain accurate waitlists and handle reservations through the booking system.
• Escort guests to their tables and provide menus.
• Communicate effectively with waitstaff, bartenders, and kitchen teams to ensure a seamless guest experience.
• Address guest inquiries, special requests, or complaints courteously and professionally.
• Keep the host area, entrance, and menus clean and well-organized.
• Provide guests with realistic wait time estimations during busy periods.
• Assist the team during peak times by supporting service or clearing tables as needed.
• Promote hotel events, special menus, and bar promotions when applicable.
• Deliver exceptional guest care and communicate hotel services to guests at all times.

Candidate Requirements

The ideal candidate will bring previous experience working as a host in a high-volume 4-star or 5-star hotel, or in a reputable restaurant or bar focused on quality service. Strong commitment to maintaining high standards in customer care and service is essential, along with the ability to manage table bookings efficiently to optimize venue capacity.
