They also provide backup power solutions by installing diesel generators to ensure essential services remain operational during power outages.
Role Overview
We are currently inviting applications for a Fuel System Installer to join our team, servicing the Palmerston North and Wellington areas. This full-time role is immediate start and focuses on the installation and maintenance of fuel systems critical to infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Install fuel systems and equipment including underground and aboveground tanks.
- Set up fuel pipework catering to both suction and pressurized systems.
- Commission fuel dispensing machinery.
- Support site preparation work such as setting out, concrete cutting, and excavation.
- Contribute to site and tank decommissioning activities.
- Install diesel generator systems including pipework, exhaust, and ventilation aboveground.
- Conduct maintenance inspections and checks.
Working Environment
- Operations based out of workshops in Palmerston North and Wellington.
- Tasks performed in hazardous zones.
- Required to travel and work outside the local areas.
- Regular hours are Monday to Friday, 40 hours guaranteed with potential overtime.
Candidate Profile
- Previous experience in fuel system installation is preferable but training can be provided.
- Applicants with Fitter, Mechanical, Electrical, Carpentry, or Plumbing trade skills will be considered favorably though not essential.
- Possession of a current New Zealand driver’s licence is mandatory.
- Understanding of health and safety protocols and safe working practices.
- Proficient with specialized construction equipment.
- Positive team player with a friendly disposition and the ability to work independently.
- Strong problem-solving capabilities and meticulous attention to detail.
- Demonstrates a dependable work ethic and dedication to workplace health and safety standards.
