About the Role
We are collaborating with a reputed oil trading company possessing an extensive international trading network that is expanding its commercial operations. To support its fuel oil and bunker trading activities, they require a Trading Operator.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily trading operations in line with contractual agreements and trader directives.
- Engage and coordinate with traders, shipping agents, inspection companies, terminals, counterparties, contracts team, trade control, finance, and credit departments to ensure seamless loading and discharge processes.
- Appoint inspection firms and monitor cargo movements ensuring adherence to operational parameters.
- Maintain accurate, timely system updates and keep thorough operational records for legal, financial, and reporting requirements.
- Assist with cargo and voyage claims, including recording demurrage.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and operational standards.
- Collaborate closely with the Shipping team to align operations with shipping requirements.
Candidate Profile
- Degree holder in Maritime Studies or a closely related field.
- At least 3 years of practical experience in trading operations, ideally within fuel oil, bunkers, or similar commodities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving aptitude.
- Self-starter who is adaptable, proactive, and eager to broaden expertise across various oil products.
