About the Role

This opportunity is within a pioneering climate-technology startup that focuses on advanced carbon removal techniques like regenerative agriculture and afforestation. The startup aims to deeply impact carbon emissions by empowering smallholder land stewards in regions such as South Asia and Sub-Saharan Africa. Supported by reputable global investors, their mission centers on boosting both sustainability and scalability in carbon offset projects.

The position involves spearheading the frontend architecture and development of their digital Measurement, Reporting, and Verification (dMRV) platform, providing intuitive, efficient, and scalable user interfaces that elevate transparency and operational excellence for carbon project management.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of frontend frameworks for the climate-tech dMRV platform.
• Build responsive, scalable, modular user interfaces using React, TypeScript, and Next.js technologies.
• Convert complex carbon data sets and methodologies into easy-to-navigate visual dashboards and workflows.
• Integrate frontend modules closely with backend APIs developed in FastAPI and Django to ensure seamless data flow.
• Adopt best practices in code organization, automated testing, state management, and UI optimization.
• Partner with design and backend teams for iterative development and impactful feature delivery.
• Enhance application speed and scalability through performance tuning and refinement.
• Conduct code reviews and mentor junior developers to promote continuous team growth.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in frontend development within dynamic product-focused environments.
• Strong skills in React, TypeScript, Next.js, and expertise in modern frontend architectural patterns.
• Experience working with state management tools such as Redux or Zustand.
• Proficient understanding of RESTful API integration, user authentication workflows, and continuous integration/delivery pipelines.
• Hands-on familiarity with data visualization technologies such as Recharts or D3.js and component design systems.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities accompanied by a proactive sense of ownership and clear communication skills.
• Desirable: Knowledge of geospatial or mapping libraries like Mapbox or Leaflet and experience related to climate technology or sustainability-oriented products.
