Job description
Role overview
This position supports a community store that provides health, beauty, and convenience services, with a strong focus on the customer experience.
The main purpose of the job is to oversee customer service operations, including cash handling, cashier support, and merchandising activities.
Human resources
- Make sure cashier and merchandising team members follow store rules and operating processes.
- Provide training to cashiers and merchandisers on their day-to-day duties.
- Offer continuous coaching, support, and direction as needed.
Loss prevention
- Apply all required loss prevention practices across the store.
- Oversee daily cash office inventory and cashier monitoring records.
- Maintain tracking sheets and support PC Optimum-related procedures.
Customer service
- Ensure staff represent the store professionally and follow the uniform policy.
- Respond to customer questions about product locations, rainchecks, and similar concerns.
- Handle customer complaints and service issues within the approved guidelines, including refunds and exchanges.
- Encourage customers to complete the CSI survey.
Merchandising
- Keep shelves tidy, clean, and properly rotated.
- Set up and remove product displays as instructed by the AFSM or FSM.
General duties
- Maintain housekeeping standards and uphold the store’s overall appearance.
- Follow all health and safety rules.
- Support clerical and banking tasks when required.
- Observe store policies and procedures at all times.
- Follow loss prevention rules and ensure they are carried out in the store.
- Complete additional tasks as assigned, including cashier work when needed.
Qualifications and working style
The role calls for sound planning, good judgement, and strong decision-making ability. It also requires independent thinking, especially when organizing store operations, along with problem-solving skills to help maintain customer satisfaction.
Experience and capability
The ideal candidate should be comfortable using computers, stay organized, manage time efficiently, and have familiarity with products and supplies.

Compensation
The hiring pay range for this role is $18.60 to $21.00 per hour. Final compensation may vary based on experience, knowledge, and the geographic location of the role.
